Studio Session | Ella & Alf

For a quick update of the children's photographs, a 30-minute studio session may be all that you need.

We all recognise that kids grow up so incredibly quickly but it appears particularly rapid to family members who are interstate or overseas who don't have the opportunity to see their Grandchildren, Nephews or Nieces on a daily basis.

Last week I was visited by the eternally energetic Alf and his beautiful big sister, Ella who have family located all over Australia as well as in NZ and the UK.  What a lovely treat for those who don't see them every day to be able to see some recent images of the pair.

At just $99 for a a 30-minute studio session including 5 high-res images, it's a really affordable alternative to those grainy, out-of-focus photos that you've been sending them from your iPhone.

Cake Smash | Barnaby

Wishing Barnaby a very Happy First Birthday!

What a little champion he was for his birthday cake smash - we had air punching, cheering & clapping and also (buoyed up by the sounds of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines") a bit of hands-free cake eating.

Product Shoot | Rosa

Oh lovely Rosa!  Rosa was my second model in my product shoots for the Studio Styling range. (http://studiostyling.bigcartel.com) 

Whilst we only got a few set-ups out of her before she demanded Mummy back, she totally aced the ones that we did (she completely loved being in the basket even if her legs were dangling over the edge!).  

I love all these creamy, natural tones for little girls - they are completely timeless and will look wonderful with any frame or home decor.  If these images don't sell a few throws and baskets, then I don't know what will!  

Thanks to Rosa for being so darn gorgeous and of course to Lynne & Steven for allowing me to use their lovely little girl as my model.

Product Shoot | Hugh

Meet seven-week-old Hugh who did a truly wonderful job of modelling some of my Studio Styling textiles.   Studio Styling, for those who don't know, is my online retail business that stocks, amongst other things,  a wide range of beautiful furs, throws and wraps for newborn and portrait photographers.

Not sure I could have been happier with how Hugh performed - he was a total champion and could not have chosen a better time to show off those new smiles!  I just love photographing this age, still so little but amazing eye contact and beautiful soft skin *swoon*.  Hugh, you are going to be a total heartbreaker!

Cake Smash | Ruby

I was visited last week by lovely little Ruby who took to her cake smash like a duck to water.    It's always hard to know whether the little ones will love it or hate it.  Ruby sits firmly in the "love it" camp.  I had so many wonderful images from this session that it made it very hard for me to choose the gallery.  What a little cutie!

Ruby tasted, prodded and finally smashed the cake to smithereens before chucking her beautiful hat in for good measure.  All followed up by a good clean-up in the tub with the rubber ducks.
