A session of two halves was what we served up for the Brown Family. Not only did we shoot a sunset session but also a sunrise session the following morning (a serious advantage of having your clients as house guests)!
This series of family photographs is all the more meaningful as the family have recently moved to Singapore for the next few years. As Freshwater locals, these will undoubtedly serve as a beautiful reminder of home during that period.
We miss you guys!

Family Session | Centennial Park
It was quite, quite impossible for me to narrow down the selection of what to show you from this beautiful family session in Centennial Park and so I have opted for an extended montage. Such a fun, loving and committed family, it was a pure pleasure to photograph them together before their number expands to six in November. Suffice to say that the newest Dabin baby is certain to be just as gorgeous as his older siblings and will be smothered with affection.
Thank you Lindy, Ben, Faith, Tiffany and Benji for sharing your morning with me. I can't wait to see what you girls decide to do with your hair for our next session ;-)
With love,

Baby Session | Zac
Most of my mini-clients come to me in their first few weeks of life but I do so love having a slightly older baby in the studio. All those smiles!
At three months, Zac was pretty content and when he decided enough was enough, we brought Mum into the picture to get some really beautiful shots of them together. I really love this series of shots of Zac and Alex, it is exactly what I would have loved to have had taken when my kids were at that age. Simple, natural and beautiful.
We couldn't have left big brother Flynn out of the picture either - what a cool customer and I just adored his taste in hats!

Family Session | Coogee Beach
I simply love heading back to the old stomping ground for sessions and I love it even more when it's to meet beautiful families like this one!
This was a truly action-packed session involving hula hoops, plenty of bubbles, walks over the rocks and swings...just how I like it. Whilst I always include a few of the "everyone-look-at-me-and-smile" shots, the ones that are always my absolute favourites are the more natural, informal ones of a family hanging out and playing together.
My thanks to Vicky, Dougal, Sophia and Andre for a lovely morning at Coogee Beach.

Family Session | Botanic Gardens
I just love photographing this gorgeous (hugely photogenic) family! This mini session, held in Sydney's Botanic Gardens, was especially for the Grandparents. A quick 40 minutes around Mrs Macquarie's Chair to the Fleet Steps resulted in a beautiful collection of memories of a summer visit.
Beautiful bunch!

Family Session | Freshwater Beach
Yesterday I farewelled my parents back to the UK after an absolutely lovely few weeks where they bonded all over again with their three grandchildren and helped out me and my husband with all manner of babysitting, household maintenance, clearing up and general good company.
So it seems timely that I blog the session that we were able to have before they left. It will be Christmas before they are able to see their Grandchildren again so I'm sure that a good number of these will be framed and on the mantlepiece within mere hours of their arrival home.
Wonderful to have seen you Mum & Dad and we're looking forward to your next visit already!

Family Session | Collaroy Beach
Since moving to the Northern Beaches back in November, I have been amazed by the beauty of the place and the huge number of gorgeous locations for shoots. This lovely family opted for a late afternoon beach session at Collaroy Beach which is right up there with my favourites.
For a family who were a bit nervous about what to expect from their first shoot, Shell, Jesse and Flynn were naturals in front of the camera. We managed to get a beautiful variety of natural, candid shots.
I'm already looking forward to having them to visit the studio for Flynn's first birthday cake smash in a few weeks time!
My thanks for allowing me to share.

Family Session | Centennial Park
I feel so honoured when friends ask me to photograph their families. To trust me with capturing their memories is just such a privilege and honestly, it's barely work, it's more like a fun afternoon catching up in the park.
Beautiful baby Alys' arrival brought both sides of this family together over Christmas and their session was a thoughtful Christmas gift for both Grandparents. The only missing member of the family was Uncle Josh who was certainly there in spirit, as nephew Jack was proudly sporting his gift of a "Brawd Mawr" ("Big Brother" in Welsh) t-shirt. Such a rare family catch-up definitely deserved a photo session!
Thanks to Rachael, Tom and families for allowing me to share.

Studio Session | James, Isabel & Sophia
Between the move to the Northern Beaches, celebrating two of my children's birthdays and preparing for Christmas, I made the decision against offering Christmas mini sessions this year. The exception to this rule was, of course, my own children! My mother would never have forgiven me if there weren't up-to-date photos for her mantlepiece!
Christmas minis will be back for 2014.

Family Session | Bronte Beach
December and early January has been choc-a-block with extended family shoots as many siblings, Parents and Grandparents come together to celebrate the festive season.
Little Angus was one of the lucky ones to be surrounded by an adoring family and clearly enjoyed all the attention he was getting from both his Aussie and Irish Grandparents. We spent a lovely hour together at Bronte for this session - you would never know from these that there was a huge surf carnival going on would you!
